The site activates your webcam automatically; when you click “start” you’re suddenly staring at another human on your screen and they’re staring back at you, at which point you can either choose to chat (via text or voice) or just click “next,” instantly calling up someone else. Het is een soort Russisch roulette met de webcam. Wat wordt je deze keer voorgeschoteld. Is het een jongen, is het een meisje, of is het een viezerik? Nooit saai, vaak spannend, en meestal ook heel erg leuk. Inmiddels zijn er een aantal sites in lucht getrapt die de leukste dingen op Chatroulette bijhouden, zoals bijvoorbeeld Chatroulolz. Bovenstaande filmpje even zien voor de uitleg en dan grappige voorbeelden bekijken op Chatroulolz. “Kijk uit iemand achter je”, “what are the odds” en “camel and elephant meet blueman and gorilla“. Bekijk ook deze grappige compilatie!
Erg mooi om te zien hoe snel inventief mensen zijn en hoe er vervolgens op gereageerd wordt. Uiteraard zijn de eerste drankspelletjes ook al van de partij!

3D Projectie op raadhuis in Vilnius

In een vorige post ‘Op maat projectie op gebouwen‘ was er al een erg mooie voorstelling specifiek voor een karakteristiek gebouw, nu wordt het raadhuis in de Litouwse stad Vilnius erg fijn belicht met 3D beelden.

The Augmented Sculpture Project

For this purpose two layers are produced that explore different aspects of the space-time reality. On the one hand the physical layer, which controls the real space and shapes the volumetric base that serves as support for the next level. The second level is a virtual projected layer that allows controlling the transformation and sequentiality of space-time.
The blending of both levels gives the impression of physical geometry suitable of being transformed. The orverlapping produces a three-dimensional space augmented by a transformable layer suitable to be controlled, resulting in the capacity through the installation of altering multiple dimensions of space-time.
